24 hrs in Stockholm, S W E D E N.

I was pretty happy when I knew that I was going to Sweden. To be honest, any part of the ‘other side of the world’ is new for me. I’ll take anything and explore anywhere, everywhere. Most crew don’t find Sweden interesting, as for me it was very beautiful and cheap. The people were very nice and the weather, always cold. We arrived at 11am, I changed and went out for a walk and shopping with another girl. Most of the crew did not join because it was too cold. They also said I have the energy of  a ‘rookie’ and ‘newbie’ of going out without a rest. While I’m visiting a new city or country I will not rest, jetlag are for rookies. Maybe if I visit the same city more than twice, maybeeee who knows, I’ll rest a bit. I prefer enjoying life for a change.  Anyhow, I only had a day to explore Stockholm, so I decided no rest, change and go. Why not?

We stayed at the Sheraton hotel which was walking distance of  Gamla Stan, is an old town in Stockholm. Is an original city centre and consists of Stadsholmen island and the islets of Riddarholmen, Helgeandsholmen and Strömsborg. The Old Town dates from the 13th century but most buildings are from the 17- and 1800s with beautiful German architecture. I just walked, and walked and shopped! I hope next time I’ll visit some other point f interest, because I spent all day shopping while admiring their beautiful architectures. Stockholm has a lot of interesting museums but, I’m a person who can stay all day at the museum and decided to just walk and sight-seeing.

After  I explored Stockholm I arrived at the hotel at 7:00PM, took a long and warm bat. Went to sleep happy and greatful of how I enjoyed my layover. Hope you enjoy my photos as well!
