  1. I am truly impressed with your website. It’s amazing to see all the places you have traveled to. I too hope to get the opportunity to travel and write for a living. I hope to keep reading of all the beautiful places you travel! Thank you for sharing!

  2. Amazing! I have just found out tonight that I am main fleet too 🙂 Some girls are sad as they think A380’s see more of the world. What has been your experience? It looks to me like you’re having a ball and jet setting everywhere!

    • We all going to be cross-trained, I received the letter though. Some of B777 destinations are changed to A380. However, i’ve been flying and having different layovers. As for A380 crew, they get a lot of UK flights and for some reason they are getting a lot turnarounds as well.
It is nice to start at EK as main fleet, Boeing is nicer and easy. You’ll like it, I do.
Like one of my service trainer told me once; “You don’t know how lucky you are to be Main Fleet. In a year don’t count how many layovers you had, count how many countries you’ve visited.” I think she’s right!

  3. Thank you 🙂

Do you still get time to explore the destinations? I’m not sure how they work out lay over times for main fleet or how they decide which flights are turn around. Thank you again!

    • It depends how far and long is the destination, some are 31hrs or 24hrs etc. A380 is more the same except for USA flights which are 2 days layover. There’s always time to explore although most of the time I have to push myself to go out, since I arrived tired at the hotel..but is ok.

    • Well, I have no self-experience regarding Etihad’s lifestyle. But I’ve flown with crew that had worked with Etihad and Qatar, they say Emirates is better in terms of rules of the accommodation and visitors, no curfew etc.
